this week’s adventure

Movie-Making Magic

Movies: They can carry us to other worlds, keep us company, and make us laugh, cry, or hide under the covers. And we love them for it. But what goes into the art of movie-making? Why are some movies Oscar material, while others are snooze-fests? The movie industry is a billion-dollar industry...but it takes much more than just great acting to make a movie a winner.

This week at Camp Kinda, we’ll go behind the scenes to discover the magic of filmmaking. By the end of the week, you’ll have learned the secrets of powerful cinematic storytelling, experimented with music to evoke emotions through film, explored various filmmaking techniques, and you’ll be on your way to becoming your family’s next big Hollywood director. Then you’ll put it all together to create your own film...all right from home.
