Bodies are so cool. They let us explore, feel, and move. Our bodies are different—but they’re also the same! In this adventure, we'll learn about beautiful, brilliant bodies and all the amazing things they can do.

For Grown-Ups

What You’ll Need

Your CKJR Toolkit. What’s in the Toolkit?
  • Blocks (plastic, wooden, cardboard, magnetic—anything to build with!)
  • Play Doh (store bought or homemade)
  • A bin for water, plus cups, scoops, and spoons
  • Figurines (small animals, dinosaurs, or people)
  • A big roll or pad of paper
  • Washable paints, crayons, markers, and any other easy-to-clean art supplies

Plus

  • Kitchen utensils like scoops, spoons, and tongs
  • Newsprint or other mess-catcher
  • Materials for sensory bowls, such as:
    • Dried beans or rice
    • Shaving cream
    • Cotton balls or pom-poms
    • Water
    • Play Doh
    • Things to use in an obstacle course (like pillows, books, or chairs)
    • At-home exercise equipment (like a jump rope or hula hoop; optional)
    • Stuffed animals or dolls (optional)

    Family Activity

    Since this adventure is all about bodies, try a hike, walk, or other way to move together as a family. Search the National Park Service’s Find a Park resource to find new places to explore.
